We are seeking hospitality-oriented individuals to fill the following positions:
Full-time Breakfast cook/prep cook
We are looking for a Breakfast Cook to work with our Executive Chef and Sous Chef to prepare hot breakfast as needed for in-house guests. The Breakfast Cook will work closely with our Head Concierge to prepare and present a local and seasonal upscale breakfast for Lambert’s Cove Inn guests. Breakfast will highlight the best available New England ingredients, with a special focus on Martha’s Vineyard sourcing. Employee will also serve as the day-time prep cook to support the inn’s upscale prix fixe summer menu as well as ingredients for all events and weddings. Employee will work under the direction of the Executive Chef and the Sous Chef and will be fully trained by them.

Full-time Hostess/Evening and Back up Front Desk Clerk
As Evening and Back up Front Desk Clerk, you will work directly under our Head Concierge, our Restaurant Manager, and our General Manager to answer guests’ questions and to assist them with any room-related, restaurant-related, and facility-related needs. In the evenings, you will act as the first greeter to restaurant guests and will work with the restaurant staff to keep Open Table up to date and to guide guests into the dining room or to outdoor seating. This position requires a knowledge of and comfort with technology. This employee will work with our rooms reservation system and our restaurant reservation system extensively and is required to be competent and fluent with both. You will answer the inn and restaurant phone, and you must enjoy interacting with potential and existing guests over the phone. For evening shifts, you will be asked to help out in the restaurant as needed and depending on the demands at the front desk.
This position is full time and requires two day shifts and three evening shifts. For the day shifts, besides acting as Front Desk Concierge, the candidate will act as Breakfast Sever and will interact with our in-house guests, providing them with informed and gracious hospitality. You will work directly with our Breakfast Cook, our Executive Chef and our Lead Concierge to coordinate our inn guests’ morning needs.
You will act as the hospitality representative at breakfast, then you will ensure that the dining room is cleaned up after breakfast. In the afternoons, your priorities will become broader, and you will focus on general guest service and aesthetic upkeep of the inn and the grounds. On Lead Concierge’s day off, you will:
- help with administrative duties
- interact with guests and respond—under the direction of management—to their requests and needs
- show guests to their rooms
- transport guests to the beach
- help keep up the aesthetic appearance of the inn’s common rooms
- assist all managers as needed
Candidate should be a team player who will work to create and maintain a culture of hospitality and positivity. Must possess a guest-centered philosophy. Candidate will be fully trained by Lead Concierge and General Manager.
